dear blog, it's me again
curves into my solitary world,
crossroads of uncertainty.
my mind is torn into pieces,
everyday i walk this earth.
heavenly Father bless this soul,
buried amongst the scars of hatred.
what do i fear the most?
the man i've become - i'm so confused.
i'm playing tunes of my misery,
isolated in the den of ruthless loneliness.
i'm having visions of my burial,
enemies keep stalking my grave.
poetry is what i live 4,
words from this disoriented pen.
i leave behind a legacy,
a naked path to all those who believe...
in the words from within.

judge me not - son of Africa.
it has been talent since birth.
the greatest passion - was my ambition.
forever tattooed in my heart, dreamer.
flip of an ocean wave - a story is told.
from early days of tumbling steps,
to the crystal days of freeway melodies.
the African soil has been good to me.
the setting sun, gentle sun-rays on my skin.
finest hour since childhood, such better days.
smile drawn on my face, such care-free moments.
o man...i was born at the right time...my word.
the careless walks down the kasi streets,
girls in their spring mini skirts.
such a blessing in the change of season.
God has truly been good to me.

Heavenly Father.
i am down on my knees,
protect me from my enemies.
cast away my fears,
dry my lonely tears.
bless this daily bread,
protect me from starvation.
bless my night dreams,
protect me from demons.
in the light of success,
paint the path to glory days.
the ambitious life I live,
protect me from the jealousy syndrome.
in the shortness of my breathe,
ventilate my lungs with strength.
in the days of darkness,
be the light of my life.
teach me how to pray,
lead me not to stray.
Amen.

define destiny. what is destiny?
is it the picture of a successful man in his expensive car;
while a young brother begs in the streets for survival?
define destiny. what is destiny?
is it genocide of innocent people in the streets of Africa;
while we seek entertainment in every street of our suburban place?
define destiny. what is destiny?
is it the death of a new born baby;
while we fulfill our sexual fantasies in every corner of our living room?
define destiny. what is destiny?
is it the picture of an abusive father;
while a young girl is caught up in the sheets of confusion and fear?
define destiny. what is destiny?
is it the prostitution of young teenagers;
while a young girl graduates with straight A's?
define destiny. what is destiny?
is it the casual drop out of students from school;
while we receive scholarships to expensive living?
define destiny. what is destiny?
is it the passing of an unattended sick child;
while he contemplates suicide on the third floor?
what is your definition of destiny?

it cries the sign of new life,
a mother's perfect miracle.
the bond grows so much that it climax,
carefully she applies love deluxe.
the greatest gift to mankind,
the miracle of continuity to life.
patient signs of maturity,
full of nutritionist purity.
it moves in motionless stumbling steps,
such joy and happiness.
clueless about the crossroads in life,
it matters not to the beautiful creature.
so young and tender it matures with confidence,
that life would ask of it with time.
these are the words scribbled by the pen,
my words to the newly born.
o...how I wish it was mine,
nevertheless its God's gift to human race.

Let the new born shine the hour of change.
Let us stop abortion, the killing of the unborn.
the words flow through my vein,
standing watching the rain.
the deepest poetry in motion,
storms the airs with commotion.
the sweetest sound of rhymes,
triggers thousand smiles.
the endless tap of my fingers,
creates astounding poetry beats.
pages from my poetry journal,
keeps an image of my belief.
that every second of my breathing,
creates a minute of my poetry.
this life that I am living,
paints a picture of my breeding.
that every line in my poetry,
is destined to be poetry.

i like being black,
because I am black;
what makes me black?
is it the color of my skin?
is it my personality?
is it my black coffee?
who made me to be black?
is it my mother?
is it my father?
is it God?
i like being black,
because I am black;
who says I am black?
is it your intuition?
is it my racist friend?
i like being black,
because I am black;
being black motives me,
being black creates peace,
being black catches the eye,
being black, being me.
i like being black,
because I am black;

do dreams come true?
such vivid imaginations.
hanging on loose threads
of hopeless dreams.
life is hard.
barely 19, caught up in the
midst of fame and fortune.
hard to remember her roots,
living the life of ecstasy.
life is hard.
break of dawn, thoughts of
survival ring bells in his mind.
lonely venture into the big city streets.
every hour pushes the button of fate.
he goes by the name of "street kid"
life is hard.
in the pool of blood,
that is where she lay cold.
caught up in the love web.
victim of suicide.
life is hard.
the child at birth,
fifteen minutes too late.
dead silence. no cry.
early death at birth.
life is hard.
Bless me Father.

face reflected in all mirrors of beauty.
she is an African beauty.
her body drawn in the shape of a queen, pure geometry.
she stimulates the innocent mind.
her smile sends vibes of pretty imaginations.
I stop and glare at the wonders of beauty.
God made an african queen - such precision.
i wonder if she ever notices her beauty?
her moonlight eyes so majestic,
compliments true vision of loveliness.
she is an African beauty.
her presence is so secretive,
makes every moment a moment to treasure.
thoughts in my head run wild,
for the image surpasses truest nature.
wonder if tomorrow will bring her closer,
closer to the grasp of my fantasy?

be it that we are on different cultures,
there was something about the muslim
girl that always fined tuned my prime.
her elegance and beauty - so sound.
her motion and smile
would create a thousand crystal clear
waves. she was so natural
and everything about her was so picture
perfect. did she ever notice me? i doubt.
i felt that my attraction went unnoticed.
was she ever interested in me?
was it the color of my skin?
was it our diverse cultures?
i will never know.
there were times when I felt a sound
connection when we talked.
the spark was there - i felt it.
i was so caught up in her beauty,
class, style - delightful to
the eye. o man - the muslim girl.
[laughs]
i would daze, watch her stroll
caught up in her mix of fun.
i felt so weak and defenseless.
i moved on eventually and healed
from my fantasies. [Giggles]

the first love.
so innocent and supreme.
just could not get enough.
i remember my first love.
the late night calls.
the endless heart beat.
the sky painted "Love"
everything picture perfect.
the cute brown-eyed girl;
she was everything to me.
forever smiling was she.
i remember my first love.
the romantic love ballads;
filled the air so gentle.
she was my painting.
called out her name every night.
i remember my first love.
the dairy of our moments;
fills our love pages.
since you've been gone,
love has not been the same.

time. what is time?
is it the distance between two lovers?
is it the distance between two enemies?
is it the distance between two oceans?
is it the distance between two lands?
if not, then what is time?
is time the base to our decisions?
is time the carrier of aging?
is time measured in seconds, minutes or hours?
is time measured through thoughts or feelings?
if not, then what is time?
do we give into time?
does time give true sense of meaning to life?
what role does time play in our lives?
does time define the beginning or the end?
if not, then what is time?
does time contribute to life issues?
does time contribute to life factors?
does time give us hope?
does time create opportunities?
if not, then what is time?

tears on my pillow,
face against my window.
where did my heart go?
such a lonely feeling.
i scream out loud,
voices in my head.
life has no meaning.
such a lonely feeling.
the birds don't cry,
the fish don't fly.
what a crazy world.
such a lonely feeling.
sweet jezebel, on my belly.
where did my heart go?
such a lonely feeling.
my sweet jezebel.
